Key capabilities include shift-based production reporting, downtime tracking, material balance reconciliation, and performance benchmarking. Newmont achieved $1.5M in annual fuel savings at its Papua New Guinea site using AVEVA's digital tools.

The product sits at the intersection of mine operations and process control — more MES-oriented than traditional SIC scheduling software, but increasingly relevant as mines seek integrated pit-to-plant operational visibility. Originally sold as Ampla, the product was renamed AVEVA Production Management and is now distributed through Schneider Electric's product catalogue in regional markets.
