MyPass Skills Passport

A digital credential platform where workers store and manage validated training records, licences, certifications, and competencies. Each worker receives a unique ID that follows them across employers, sites, and projects. Credentials are independently verified by MyPass, eliminating manual checking at site gates and reducing the risk of fraudulent or expired documentation.

The worker-owned model means training records persist even when workers change employers — a significant benefit in the mining contractor workforce where labour mobility is high. Workers control which organisations can view their credentials via a permission structure, maintaining privacy while enabling seamless compliance verification. The system is free for workers, with organisations paying for access to the compliance management tools.

With BHP's Global Contractor System built on MyPass, the Skills Passport has become a standard credential in the Australian resources sector. Workers enrolled in the BHP GCS can use the same MyPass passport across other MyPass-connected sites, reducing the duplication of induction and verification that has historically been a friction point in FIFO mobilisation.
