LogChief

LogChief (and LogChief Lite) is maxgeo's field-based geological logging tool, designed for use in the core shed or at the drill rig on mobile and tablet devices. It provides customisable logging templates with configurable validation rules, ensuring data quality at the point of capture before data enters the central database.

LogChief works both online and offline, with automatic synchronisation to DataShed5 when a connection is available. This offline capability is critical for remote exploration sites with poor or intermittent connectivity. Data syncs directly to DataShed5, eliminating manual re-entry and the transcription errors that come with paper-based logging workflows.

LogChief serves as the front-line data capture layer in maxgeo's ecosystem, complementing DataShed5 for companies that need both a robust field logging tool and a central geological database. It competes with Micromine Geobank for Field Teams, acQuire GIM Suite's mobile capture capability, and CorePlan's field logging features.
