It addresses the challenge of scheduling tens of thousands of tasks over decades while satisfying complex constraints — ventilation, drilling capacity, hoist performance, and mill throughput.
APEX complements Deswik.Planning by providing mathematically proven optimal solutions at the strategic level. Rather than heuristic-based scheduling, it uses mathematical programming to identify schedules that demonstrably cannot be improved further.
