About Wenco
Founded in 1983, Wenco International Mining Systems is a Canadian mining technology company developing fleet management systems and associated technologies for surface mining. A wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi Construction Machinery since 2009, Wenco's systems are deployed at approximately 100 customer sites globally, operated by companies including De Beers, Syncrude, KCGM, US Steel, and Canadian Natural Resources.
Wenco has positioned itself as a champion of open autonomy in mining, actively working to establish ISO 23725 — an international standard for interoperability between autonomous systems and fleet management. Wencomine Fleet Management System

Wencomine is Wenco's flagship FMS for large-scale open-pit mines. It tracks excavator positions, truck counts, travel speeds, and calculates material volumes based on ore content, using this data to automatically plan efficient loading positions, truck dispatching priorities, and hauling routes. The system combines GNSS technology, wireless infrastructure, on-board computers, and SQL-compliant databases.
