About Next Gen SHOTPlus

Launched at MINExpo 2024, Next Gen SHOTPlus is Orica's latest evolution of the SHOTPlus platform. It incorporates the company's proprietary Predict physics engine, Hellfire blast damage model, and Advanced Vibration Management solution. The platform enables engineers to move beyond descriptive drill-and-blast design to model and predict blast movement (muckpile profiles), rock mass damage, and environmental vibration impact in near real-time.

It is cloud-hosted and powered by the "Model Through Time" — a digital replica of the mine or quarry through space and time. Key capabilities include predictive blast movement modelling, three-dimensional damage modelling, integrated vibration management, block model visualisation for geometallurgical data, and scenario management tools for comparing design options. Next Gen SHOTPlus also supports third-party integration, enabling users who design in other software to benefit from its modelling capabilities.
