HELIX

HELIX is MST Global's enterprise software platform that unifies all underground mine software, hardware, and third-party integrations into a single platform. It creates a real-time geospatial digital twin of underground operations, serving as the central data hub for decision-making. The platform integrates data from MST's AXON network infrastructure, IoT sensors, tracking systems, and third-party systems to provide comprehensive operational intelligence.

Key capabilities include advanced 3D visualization with layered mapping, real-time personnel and asset tracking, workflow management, post-blast ventilation automation, and environmental monitoring. HELIX 1.5 (July 2025) introduced embedded cybersecurity measures, layered 3D mapping, intelligent post-blast ventilation control, and enhanced travel history tools. HELIX Sentinel provides an electronic tagboard for real-time personnel visualization. The platform supports configurable warning zones, presence-based ventilation control, and shift-level reporting.

HELIX Dispatch — developed in collaboration with Modular Mining and released at MINExpo 2024 — adds underground fleet management capabilities, automating production tracking and enabling command centers to monitor vehicle status from the production face to surface. HELIX is deployed globally across underground hard rock, coal, and tunneling operations.
