GeoModeller
Implicit 3D geological modelling with integrated forward and inverse geophysical modelling — from geological survey data to constrained 3D earth models.
About GeoModeller
GeoModeller builds complex, implicit 3D geological models using a geostatistical vector field (CoKriging) interpolator from structural data, cross-sections, drillholes, and geophysics. Formation-specific anisotropy settings enable realistic geological representation even with sparse data. The stratigraphic pile defines model topology, enabling transfer of external geological knowledge into the model.
Key differentiators include native integration of potential field geophysical modelling (gravity, magnetics, tensor grids), litho-constrained stochastic geophysical inversion (Monte Carlo Markov Chain), full tensor gradiometry support, geothermal modelling, airborne EM 1D inversion, mesh generation for finite element analysis, and resource estimation tools. GeoModeller 2023 was rebuilt with modern architecture for improved stability.
GeoModeller occupies a unique niche as the only commercial product fully integrating 3D implicit geological modelling with multi-physics geophysical inversion. It is particularly valued by geological surveys, academic researchers, and exploration geologists who need to constrain geological models with geophysical data. Its market presence is small compared to mainstream platforms, making it a specialist rather than mass-market tool. Available on monthly/annual subscription with academic pricing.
