Intrepid Geophysics

Intrepid Geophysics has been developing software for potential field geophysics and 3D geology for over 35 years (founded c. 1985). Despite being small (~15+ staff), the company has built a strong reputation for innovative approaches to geophysical processing, interpretation, and 3D geological modelling. Clients span government geological surveys (20+ long-term agreements), academia, mining companies, and oil & gas operators.

In 2002, Intrepid Geophysics partnered with France's BRGM (Bureau de Recherches Géologiques et Minières — one of the world's leading geological surveys) to commercialize the "Editeur Géologique," the first fully 3D implicit geological modelling platform, which became GeoModeller. This academic pedigree gives GeoModeller a unique scientific foundation. A potential acquisition by SensOre Ltd (ASX: S3N) was announced but completion status is uncertain.
