About GeologicAI Digital Core Scanning

GeologicAI's core scanning service deploys mobile trailer units — towed by truck or lifted by helicopter — to mine sites, equipped with five sensor types: hyperspectral imaging (SWIR/VNIR), XRF, high-resolution RGB photography (wet and dry), LiDAR, and magnetic susceptibility. A robotic system moves samples through all sensors, scanning approximately 300–500 metres of core per day. Through the December 2025 acquisition of Lumo Analytics, LIBS capability was added for rare earth element and light element detection.

Multi-sensor data is stitched together at the pixel level by proprietary AI models, generating mineral maps, elemental curves, automated RQD calculations, sulfide identification, vein detection, and proprietary tools including the "Gold Finder" and "Automated Sampler" for intelligent sample selection. The result is consistent, high-fidelity data that reduces human logging variability and provides richer datasets for downstream geological interpretation and resource estimation in tools like RMSP and Leapfrog.

GeologicAI's scanning service model — deploying to site rather than requiring operators to ship core — competes with Veracio's TruScan and Minalyzer CS hardware and Prediktera's Breeze Geo hyperspectral system. The multi-sensor fusion approach, providing five data types simultaneously at pixel-level resolution, is the primary technical differentiator. It is the only commercially deployed system offering LIBS alongside hyperspectral and XRF in a single mobile unit.
