MiningTAG

Founded in 2010 in Chile, Mining TAG specializes in digital transformation for underground mining operations. The company develops sensor-based solutions for monitoring, fleet management, and personnel safety, with deep expertise in complex underground mining methods including sublevel stoping and panel caving. Notable deployments include fleet control at Codelco's El Teniente — the world's largest underground copper mine — since 2016, and at Chuquicamata.

Epiroc acquired Mining TAG in July 2021 for an undisclosed amount (revenues were approximately $7M in 2020). Mining TAG is the only Latin American company within Epiroc's Digital Solutions Division and serves as a bridge for Epiroc's digital portfolio in the Latin American market. Post-acquisition, Mining TAG has integrated other Epiroc technologies, including Mernok's Titan CAS collision avoidance systems.
