GEOVIA is the mining software brand of Dassault Systèmes. Its roots go back to 1985 when Gemcom was founded as a spin-off from SRK Consulting in Vancouver. Dassault acquired Gemcom in 2012 and rebranded it to GEOVIA, integrating it into the broader 3DEXPERIENCE platform ecosystem.

GEOVIA's three flagship standalone products — Surpac, Whittle, and MineSched — carry decades of heritage and are widely deployed in mine planning globally. Beyond these, GEOVIA is building 3DEXPERIENCE platform-native roles including Geology Modeler, Pit Optimizer, and Strategic Mine Planner, intended to extend and complement the established products.
