Fatigue Science

Fatigue Science is a Vancouver-based fatigue risk management technology company founded in 2006. It combines wearable technology, the SAFTE biomathematical model (validated by NASA, the FAA, and the US military), and machine learning to deliver predictive, personalised fatigue risk insights. The company has raised approximately $11.1M in total funding, with a most recent Series A of $3.25M in February 2020.

In mining, Fatigue Science serves major operators including Glencore, Newmont, Barrick Gold, Thiess, and First Quantum Minerals. A meta-study across three major mine sites in Mexico and Peru (2.1 million work hours, 1,300+ haul truck operators) confirmed that its platform can predict a 12x higher likelihood of microsleeps. The company received the National Safety Council's 2022 Green Cross Safety Innovation Award and has announced that 20 mine sites have adopted the Readi platform site-wide as of 2023.
