Carlson Software

Carlson BlastOPS is the company's primary blast design software. It provides tools for working with point clouds to develop meshes, creating blast pattern layouts, and ensuring proper burden and borehole spacing. Key features include cloud and mesh editing (registering and consolidating multiple scans, cleaning anomalies, filtering meshes), pattern layout tools (designing using standard parameters, optimising with burden measurements, comparing designs to as-drilled patterns), drill hole loading and initiation design, and analysis and reporting.

Carlson Geology is a module within the Carlson Mining suite providing geological modelling capabilities for both stratigraphic (layered) deposits and hardrock ore bodies. It uses drillhole and sample data to create subsurface models using industry-standard algorithms. Key features include drillhole data entry, cross-sections and fence diagrams, fault modelling, mine reserves calculation, kriging and variograms, block viewing, and optimized pit design. The module runs on AutoCAD and includes IntelliCAD built-in.

Carlson Mining is an AutoCAD-based (and IntelliCAD-compatible) engineering and design suite consisting of multiple modules: Carlson Geology (stratigraphic and block modelling), Surface Mining (pit design, scheduling), Underground Mining (mine projections, ventilation), Basic Mining (drillhole entry, fence diagrams, mapping), and Natural Regrade (reclamation back to natural landforms).
