MinePortal
Cloud-connected orebody knowledge platform for real-time 3D geological visualisation, geostatistical analysis, and AI-driven grade prediction.
About MinePortal
MinePortal was acquired by IMDEX from DataCloud International in September 2021 for approximately A$20M. It processes high volumes of geological and drilling data in real time while applying geostatistical and machine learning algorithms to identify orebody trends and enable grade prediction. MinePortal contains three integrated solutions: Data Lab (geological data analysis and visualisation), Blast Intelligence (blast design optimisation), and Blend Intelligence (material blending optimisation).
The platform provides real-time 3D visualisation linking data from IMDEX hardware products — including IMDEXHUB-IQ sensor data — and third-party systems, with drillhole data visualised in 3D without import/export steps. AI and geostatistical models run in near-real time as new drilling data arrives, enabling exploration teams and grade control geologists to make faster decisions with more current information. MinePortal bridges exploration programs through to grade control and production reconciliation workflows.
MinePortal competes with Seequent Evo's BlockSync application, GEOVIA's real-time grade control workflows, and emerging cloud-native geological analytics platforms. Its differentiation is the native integration with IMDEX's hardware sensor ecosystem — data flows from downhole instruments through IMDEXHUB-IQ into MinePortal without manual intervention, creating a sensor-to-decision workflow unavailable from pure software vendors.
