The iTwin Platform is Bentley's foundational digital twin infrastructure built on open APIs and libraries. It federates and continuously synchronises data across repositories in native formats — BIM models, reality models, LiDAR, IoT sensor data, and geospatial data — providing a single integrated view of an asset's engineering, physical, and operational state.
For mining, iTwin connects Seequent's subsurface modeling tools with Bentley's surface infrastructure applications, enabling a mine digital twin that spans from the orebody through infrastructure to operations. iTwin Capture enables reality modeling from drone and camera imagery, while iTwin IoT integrates real-time sensor data for operational monitoring. The platform supports NVIDIA Omniverse integration for immersive 3D visualisation.
