About GeoSpark Core

GeoSpark Core is a relational geological database system built on SQL Server or Microsoft Access, designed for managing exploration and mining data including drillhole and surface data. The system features the GeoSpark Logger front-end, providing both form and datasheet-style data entry with real-time validation — catching user errors at the first point of creation. Key features include an advanced QAQC module with scatter plots, control charts, and Thompson-Howarth charting; customisable strip logs; assay compositing routines; drill log reports; and password-protected reference code lists.

Data flows from field entry through automatic synchronisation into a centralised master database, which serves as the definitive source for all project data. Drill holes can be locked once complete for security. The master database links directly to GIS and 3D modelling applications for automatic map and model updates. Combined with the optional GeoSpark Nimbus cloud hosting service, databases become accessible 24/7 from any location.

GeoSpark Core is positioned as an affordable, practical alternative to expensive enterprise geological database systems. A case study from Galore Creek Mining Corporation reported reducing their data verification period from 6 weeks to approximately 5 days after implementation. The software-plus-consulting model means clients receive hands-on implementation support rather than just a software licence.
