Trimble is a publicly traded global technology company founded in 1978, focused on positioning, modelling, connectivity, and data analytics across multiple industries including construction, agriculture, geospatial, transportation, and mining. While mining is not Trimble's primary market, the company has actively grown its mining capabilities through its Geospatial segment, offering surveying hardware, machine control, monitoring, and mine analytics software.

In November 2025, Trimble launched Mine Insights, powered by the Strayos AI engine, marking a significant expansion into drill and blast analytics. Trimble's core mining strength lies in precise positioning and survey technologies including GNSS base stations, scanning total stations (SX12), and machine guidance systems. The company acquired Mining Information Systems (MIS) in 2014 to add enterprise-level mine information management.
