Snowden Optiro
Mining advisory, consulting, training, and software supporting evaluation, improvement, and reporting across mining operations.
About Snowden Optiro
Snowden Optiro has a layered M&A history. Snowden was established in 1987 as Snowden Mining Industry Consultants in Perth, evolving over 33 years into a diversified advisory, consulting, software, and training business. In July 2020, Datamine (Vela Software/Constellation Software) acquired Snowden. In late 2021, Datamine acquired Optiro — a Perth-based independent mining advisory firm founded in 2008 by former Snowden executives — and merged it with Snowden to form Snowden Optiro.
Today, Snowden Optiro is one of the most experienced mining consulting teams globally, with capabilities spanning resource geology, mine planning, corporate advisory, training, and software. The software arm develops tools born from consulting best practice. Being part of Datamine provides a global office network and deep software expertise. Offices span Perth, Brisbane, London, Johannesburg, Belo Horizonte, Lima, and Santiago.
