Micromine

Founded in 1986 in Perth, Micromine has grown into a mining software provider with solutions used at more than 2,000 sites in over 90 countries. In April 2025, The Weir Group PLC completed its acquisition for £624 million, placing Micromine into Weir's new Digital Solutions division. Prior to the acquisition, approximately 90% of revenue was recurring SaaS subscription income.

Micromine's modular software suite covers the entire mining lifecycle. Key clients include BHP, AngloGold Ashanti, and Barrick Gold. Micromine expanded its planning capabilities in 2020 by acquiring Alastri (open-pit hard rock scheduling) and Precision Mining (Spry, open-pit soft rock scheduling). Weir intends to integrate Micromine with its MOTION METRICS and NEXT intelligent solutions post-acquisition.
