Ideagen Workforce Safety
Integrated workforce safety, site access, and compliance management for mining and industrial operations.
About Ideagen Workforce Safety
Originally founded in 2002 as Damstra Technology in Melbourne, this company built an Enterprise Protection Platform for workforce management, site access control, safety, training, and compliance — with a strong focus on mining, construction, and energy. Damstra was listed on the ASX before being acquired by UK-based Ideagen in April 2024 for approximately A$70 million. It was rebranded to Ideagen Workforce Safety in September 2025, becoming the fifth Australian business acquired by Ideagen since 2023 alongside Lucidity, Plant Assessor, OpCentral, CompliSpace, and Beakon.
The platform's mining capabilities include biometric site access control (fingerprint and facial recognition), contractor onboarding and competency verification, lone worker safety management, fatigue monitoring, digital permit-to-work systems, and MDG-compliant machinery safety assessments. Its strength is in ensuring only qualified, compliant, and fit-for-work personnel access mine sites. Pre-acquisition Damstra had approximately A$30M annual revenue.
