Geovariances

Geovariances was founded in 1986 as a spin-out from the Centre for Geostatistics at the Paris School of Mines (Mines Paris – PSL), one of the birthplaces of geostatistical theory. The company retains an exclusive technical partnership with the Centre, giving it distinctive scientific credibility. For nearly 40 years, Geovariances has been a specialist in applied geostatistics, providing software, training, and consulting services.

Geovariances was acquired by Vela Software (Constellation Software) in June 2022, placing it under the same corporate umbrella as Datamine and Snowden Optiro. Isatis.neo is now part of the Studio RM Pro bundle marketed alongside Datamine's Studio RM and Snowden Optiro's Supervisor. The company has offices in France, Australia (Perth), Brazil, and Chile. Referenced mining clients include Imerys, Eramet, Alcoa, Vale, Rio Tinto, BHP, and Anglo American.
