About Geotic
Geotic Inc. is a geological software company founded in 2002 in Val-d'Or, Quebec. The company built a well-regarded integrated suite for geological data capture, core logging, drill hole visualisation, and 3D geological modelling, valued by the industry for its cost-effectiveness and ease of use. After passing through GoldSpot Discoveries (2021) and EarthLabs, Geotic was acquired by ALS Limited in December 2022 for approximately C$24M as part of the ExplorTech division purchase.
Under ALS ownership, Geotic now operates as ALS GoldSpot Discoveries Ltd., a consulting division of ALS Minerals. Geotic software is being enhanced with integration to ALS Geoanalytics AI and ML platforms, including LithoLens AI core imaging technology that enables automated logging and linearising of geological data from photographs. This integration represents an industry-first AI-augmented core logging workflow connecting traditional logging software with modern machine learning capabilities.
