DetNet

DetNet is a South African company that designs and manufactures electronic initiation systems for the mining, quarrying, and construction industries. Founded in 2002, it operates as a joint venture between AECI Limited and Dyno Nobel (formerly Incitec Pivot), with its products distributed globally through both AEL Mining Services (AECI subsidiary) and Dyno Nobel. Over 20 years, DetNet has shipped tens of millions of electronic detonators and holds 80+ patents.

DetNet's primary focus is on hardware-based electronic initiation systems, with software products serving as companion tools for blast planning and reporting. Its software is notable for being the actual development source of the ViewShot 3D blast design tool that is marketed and distributed by Dyno Nobel and AEL. Products include the DigiShot Ranger and CE4 Commander surface systems, BlastWeb II underground system, and CyberDet wireless detonator technology.
