The AnyLogic Company develops general-purpose simulation software supporting all three major simulation methodologies: discrete event simulation, agent-based modeling, and system dynamics — including combinations of all three within a single model. Founded from academic research in the early 1990s, the company released its first commercial software in 2000 and is now privately held with approximately 200 employees and offices in the USA, France, and Portugal.

While not mining-specific, AnyLogic has developed significant mining industry capabilities through its Fluid Library (designed for bulk material and mining logistics simulation), extensive published mining case studies, and partner consultancies. Mining clients include Vale, Komatsu, Tata Steel, and the world's second largest nickel producer. The software is used by over 40% of Fortune 100 companies across industries.
