Rock Mapper
Underground rock face mapping, 3D LiDAR scanning and grade control sampling on iPad
About Rock Mapper
Rock Mapper is an iPad app for underground rock face mapping used in production and development settings. It captures rock faces as georeferenced photographs and photorealistic 3D LiDAR scans processed on-device, and supports annotation of geological features onto scans and photographs. Grade control samples can be marked with QAQC data (blanks, duplicates, standards) and exported as collar, survey and interval CSV files for import into grade control databases; mapped features export in georeferenced CSV and DXF formats. A dedicated tool supports rock mass assessment using the Q System and RMR89, with calculations done in-app. PDF reports are auto-generated in the field, and data syncs to the Rock Mapper Cloud for browser access and integration with geological modelling software. Subscription is billed per mine with no user limit, plus an optional hardware kit with a dual LED light array.
